NPHS College and Career Center
December 12 , 2020 - January 3, 2021
Wishing you all a very blessed holiday season!
Farewell
Dearest Panther Family,
You have been my second family for the past 14 years. Coming to work in the College and Career Center has been such a blessing because I loved working with all of you. That is why the decision to retire is so bittersweet. My job has been challenging, at times chaotic, but always rewarding. I will miss my lovely friends and colleagues in the office, the helpful custodians and campus supervisors, the always supportive faculty, counseling and administrative staff, our parents, community and college partners, and most of all the students who have been like my own children to me. Thank you for the opportunity and privilege to have served and worked with you.
My last day at NPHS is on December 16, 2020. I look forward to taking time off from the computer :), having the time to pursue new hobbies and interests, and spending more time with my family who has given me encouragement, inspiration, unconditional support and time to be able to keep doing this job that they knew I loved so much.
I hope you and your family continue to stay healthy and safe and I wish you all a very blessed holiday season and a joyous new year.
With sincerest gratitude,
Carmencita T. Ricafort

Application fee waivers are still available for students who qualify. Fee waivers are available to applicants pursuing their first bachelor’s degree and consider CA their permanent home. In addition, to income information there are several fields used to determine fee waiver eligibility. To view the eligibility criteria, mistakes to avoid and the detailed Application Fee Waiver Checklist please visit: https://www2.calstate.edu/apply/paying-for-college/Pages/fee-waiver.aspx. Applicants who qualify are be able to apply for up to four campuses without paying any application fees.

As you plan for summer this winter, you have options at UC Santa Cruz. As part of our Summer Session, students who complete their sophomore or junior year with a GPA of 3.0+ can attend High School Summer Online.
We will continue to offer most courses remotely or online for summer 2021, and courses are now posted at summer.ucsc.edu. Students can earn transferable UC credits and get an exclusive 50% off summer tuition!
Most courses are 5 credits. That relates to a student's workload and the 35 hours of class meeting time. One 5-credit class is ideal for 5 weeks - that's what we recommend. Registration opens on April 1.
