Pastoral and Student Well-Being News
Another wonderful year at HR for social and emotional learning with both year 2 classes completing the Feelings and Friends Programs (Aussie Optimism), 19 year 4 students participating in Seasons for Growth and our year 6’s giving back to our community through the Council Group program. As a whole school, we have worked on our relaxation techniques and we really know how to Make Jesus Real. Thanks to all staff and families for your support and I wish you all the very best for Christmas and 2022.

UNIFORMS 2022 #2
This information includes the best way forward with orders including items not in stock, which is to hold your order until everything is in that you require. Please check this out and make the decision which best suits you.
This from our supplier:
Can we please ask that this information be included in your uniforms newsletter. This information will also be highlighted on the order portal for the parents when they place an order.
The last date for shipping to home addresses will be Tuesday 21st December 2021.
Orders placed between the 21st December 2021 and 10th January 2022 will be processed when the warehouse reopens on the 11th January 2022.
Orders should only be placed for home deliveries if parcels will be accepted during the holidays. Perm-a-Pleat will not be responsible if no one is at home to accept delivery.
Shipping and stock delays:
The items of uniform delayed at this stage include:
1. White Sports Polo- sizes 6C & 8C- these will be available to order by mid-December.
2. Library Bags- these will be available to order by mid-December.
**PLEASE NOTE THE BOYS GREY SHORTS ARE NOW BACK IN STOCK**
Parents who are waiting for one of these out of stock items should wait until all the stock they require is in stock rather than placing separate orders. There will be sufficient stock and sufficient time to order and receive this stock before back to school next year.
Last week the year 5’s made Solar Cookers. They could design and build the cooker as creative as they wished with the aim being to cook marshamallows, however some adjustments were needed with the low temperatures.
Research was undertaken, melting points considered and chocolate and mozzarella cheese were the 2 items to try and heat enough to melt.
We had a lot of success which was very surprising for a 22 degree day! The children had a lot of fun and photos are on their ipads for viewing. We have selected a few to show in the newsletter.
Thank you to our wonderful HR community for a great year of reading and library fun! It has been fantastic to get back into Book Club and Chess Tournaments, as well as have our bigger library space back for weekly borrowing, lunchtime games and as a space for Literacy and Enrichment programs. With some books still not returned, and new exciting things happening in the library next year, it is super important they are replaced. Please have any replacement books returned to the front office on Monday 13th December. Thank you to Sr Eileen, my magnificent Library Monitors, Chess Umpires and parent helpers this year – you all make magic happen. With best wishes and thanks for a very Merry Christmas and wonderful holidays!
See you in 2022!
