Projectile Motion
Morgan Van Der Brink
Definition
Projectile Motion- the form of motion in which an object is thrown near the Earth's surface, and it moves along a curved path under the action of gravity only.
Examples Of Projectile Motion
Example 1
The bullet is a projectile motion, because it is being launched. The flight of the path for the bullet are affected by two factors, which is gravity and air resistance.
Example 2
The soccer ball is in projectile motion, because it is being kicked into the air. This action is also being acted upon gravity, air resistance, and force.
Exmaple 3
The bike rider is launching himself into the air. This is a form of projectile motion. The bike and the man is acting upon force, air resistance, and gravity. These three things are the key elements for projectile motion.

Volcano
During a volcano eruption, chunks of rocks and lava are ejected out of the volcano. These things are projectile volcanic bombs. For a projectile motion, an object has to be ejected, thrown, moved, etc. This is a perfect example, because the volcano blasts out the chunks of rocks and lava.
