Ms. Kahley's Third Grade

Change Your Words, Change Your Mindset

This week is a review week and is a combination of words from the last four spelling rules. Students received this list today. They must complete three activities with the words. These activities are due on Friday.

In third grade, each student will recite a poem each nine weeks. In your child's homework folder, you will find an orange sheet with the three poems the can pick from. If your child would like to participate in the poetry recitation contest, they will need to pick a different poem. Instructions for participating in the contest can also be found on the orange sheet. If you have any questions, please email me. Poems are due October 3rd unless your child is competing in the poetry recitation competition.

Reading Counts

Please encourage your child to read for a few minutes every night. The reading counts goal for the first nine weeks is 20 points. You can keep track of your child's progress on their VIP folder where I write their quiz average and the total points they have earned.
