JMMS ROBOTICS IS COMPETING
The Engineering Design Class will be competing in the First Lego League Competition. They are judge on three things, The Robot Game, The Project and Core Values (Team Work). The theme this year is Hydro Dynamics.
1. The Robot Game - Students are programming their Lego Mindstorms EV3 Robot to score points on the Hydro Dynamics playing field.
2. The Project- Students identified a problem with water. They came up with an original project to solve the problem. Right now they are in the designing stages.
3. Core Values- Students will be judge on teamwork, ability to interact and explain their process with judges, and the teams overall attitude at the event.
4. The qualifying event will take place Sunday, Nov. 12th, in Chula Vista. They will be judged in all three categories. At this event, they select teams to advance to the Legoland Competition. Last year we had a few teams advance.
College Spirit Days EVERY MONDAY
We are implementing College Spirit Days on our campuses every Monday this year. We want our students to be thinking about college and beyond every week in which they are on campus. We also want to encourage our students to reach higher and be college bound. Students are encouraged to wear a college shirt or gear every Monday.
