What's Happening in PBS?
Week of 12/15-12/19
Hello!
We have made it to the end of first semester!!!! For our final week, we have a busy and exciting week planned!
Tomorrow is the last class day for the diabetes project. I need the projects in my possession either in class on Monday or turned in online by Monday night so that I can get the gallery set up for class on Tuesday. On Tuesday, the kids will be evaluating each others projects to provide feedback. Each project will get at minimum 4 evaluations and each kid will evaluate 4 different projects that are assigned at random.
Wednesday will be our review day in class together that the kids can come in and ask questions about their final. They received their paper review last Friday.
Thursday and Friday are finals. On Thursday ours 2, 4, 5 and 6 take their finals and on Friday hours 1, 3, 5, and 7 take their finals. My 5th hour will take their final on Thursday. After that, we are done for the semester! I hope you guys had a great semester and you have a wonderful Winter Break!
As for HOSA this week....
We have a very exciting event planned!
Tuesday is our First, Annual, Holiday's with HOSA Party! It will be held in the Freshman Center Commons and will run from 6-8pm. We have invited the FC HOSA, the BSS HOSA, and BS HOSA to come down and join us for a night of getting to know each other, a little competition and creating memories!
A few things we are still in need of....

A few things we are still in need of....
- If you would be willing to come help chaperone; please email me! We will have all of the Biomed teachers there; but some extra supervision never hurts.
- If you have old hats/scarves/mittens you would be willing to let us borrow for the night; that would be greatly appreciated! If we have them monday, I'll send all of them home with your student on wednesday.
- If you have any old Holiday themed mugs you would be willing to donate to HOSA for our "MugShot Photo Booth," your donation would make these photos rock! Any other props you think would go well will be accepted too!
- We will have a lot of snacks there for the kids, but if you would like to send your child with food to share - the more the merrier!
- Any old Holiday decorations, tree ornaments or various Holiday things you would like to donate to help create the ambiance of the evening will always be welcome!
- Finally - we are going to create a trophy for the winning school to display proudly in their classrooms....we need various holiday items to create this trophy. As of right now, I'm not sure what the trophy will look like - but if you have some random holiday items laying around that might look cool glued together and spray painted gold....send them on in! :)
Thank you for your support of HOSA so far this year and helping make it into a great club for the kids to interact with others who have like interests!
Feel free to email me with any questions or comments!
