Writing Cadre Ideas
Book Talk
Set out 15-20 books and have the students look though them. They can Identify Characteristics of the genre, make predictions, make text to self/world connections, the possibilities are endless.
Thank you to Mrs. Aguillon and Mrs. Kozubeck for allowing me to model this lesson in your rooms. See me for more details!
New Books
The Little People Big Dreams series is perfect for our Biographical Text Genre. Great resource for 2-5, I would even try 1st grade since the illustrations are amazing.
The Big Book of Details (Writing Cadre book study) is a new resource that we were gifted in the Cadre and it has tons of lesson ideas.
