In case you didn't know...
"Math Problem Monday" I share a math problem that students are to solve/discuss in class.
"Thoughtful Tuesday" I share a kindness thought/activity for the students to do/discuss in class.
'Weehawken Wednesday" We all wear Weehawken gear or colors, red & black. I share a fact about the DWS staff or the Weehawken Community.
"Think About It Thursday" I share a real life problem for students to solve/discuss in class.
"Fun Fact and Feel Good Friday" I share a whimsical fact and "feel good" phrase to share throughout the day.
My goal is to build a strong, school community and build character skills. If your child has been late to school on a regular basis, they have been missing this great experience. Let this be a motivation to start the day earlier and get to school on time to be part of this experience.
Message from Nurse Anna Twardowski...
1. To keep illnesses from spreading in our primary school, please keep students who are sick with fever home 24 hours after a fever breaks.
2. Please do not medicate your child with Advil or Tylenol and send them to school. By 11am, it will wear off and and symptoms may return.
3. At this time of year, there are increase cases of head lice. Please discourage your child from sharing hats, head gear, combs, etc. Check heads frequently. Please report any cases to school as soon as possible.
4. Encourage frequent hand washing.
Please don't hesitate to contact Nurse Anna with health questions or concerns.
Special thanks to the American Liberty Ballet Company on their Nutcracker Performance to DWS students!
