BStrong Together: Public Safety Alert
- On September 27th, the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) issued its first Public Safety Alert to warn the American public of the alarming increase in the lethality and availability of fake prescription pills containing fentanyl and methamphetamine in communities across the country. Fentanyl, a drug 80-100 times stronger than morphine, has been linked to youth deaths throughout the US, including in the Barrington area community. To learn more about this dangerous trend, watch this interview from the Today Show with DEA Administrator Anne Milgram about the One Pill Can Kill awareness campaign and register to attend BStrong Together's What You Need to Know: Fentanyl program to be held via Zoom on Wednesday, Oct. 27th at 7:00 pm in partnership with Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital. Join us for this critical program to learn more and get advice to help keep your kids safe. (See more information below in Upcoming Events.)
