Please check your email and bring the items listed on Curriculum Central which includes information needed to begin your Master Schedule process. There is an elementary and secondary presentation on Curriculum Central which explains what you should bring or collect at this time.

Progress Monitoring

Please continue to share your campus refined processes for three week progress monitoring in each content area to include the writing (essay using rubric and revising/editing). The following are some of the practices already in place:

  • CILT/DTR peer feedback to new teachers for after-school tutorials, Saturday school and small group instruction
  • Essay writing calibration between teachers/campuses/grading of essay writing with progress monitoring by leadership
  • 3 week data meetings with teams/campus leadership
  • Heat maps by student with evidence on how the teacher will support
  • AF/CIC collaboration with teams for common assessments or to provide adjustments to ACE assessments
  • DOL utilized to provide small group instruction and instructional adjustments
  • Student/Parent ownership and progress monitoring

Mid-Year Part II

Tuesday- Gretchen Barnabei Writing training- all campuses should be represented/ Garduno/Afternoon Susie at Admin

Wednesday- principals meeting/campus visits

Thursday- am- Susie at Admin/Rogers-Hall/Rodriguez

Friday- Martinez/visits as needed

  • Dual Language structure by minutes
  • Special Education Needs by student and grade level
  • Elementary will roll over student demographics/enrollment and determine a three-year history of kindergarten
  • Changes required growth/loss of teacher/staff
  • Certifications of all returning teachers
  • Historical Enrollment
  • Secondary (additional)
  • HB 5 requirements and enrollment by academy/endorsement
  • Map of Campus by classroom by period
  • Historical enrollment by course
  • Anticipated 6th and 9th grade students
  • Special Programs including MLEP, 504, TAG, Special Education, Dyslexia, ELL, etc.

Ensure you review all January WAIP requirements. You should have completed all items by the due date, one requirement is your school report card.

Spot observations clarification:

· Three spots must be scored per semester (all required to be entered, even those not scored)

· Entered within two working days of the spot into SchoolNet (DNA Regulation)

· Number of spots:

o No effectiveness level and Progressing II or below (10)

o Proficient I or DTR eligible (8)

o Distinguished (Proficient II or above) 6 (3 per semester- all must be scored, December is extremely short, approximately the first week )

· New Teachers through-out the year (with documentation)
o Train new teachers within 15 days
o Provide overview of Campus Action Plan



Please note that you must provide and document training and supports for new teachers through out the school year within 15 days (see policy/regulation above)
