February 2023

Letter from the Principal
Welcome to the second semester of the 2022-2023 school year! We have successfully made it through the first half of the school year. This month our 3-5 students will have exposure and experience with activities that our teachers have designed to celebrate Black History. We encourage our students to learn and explore about all cultures throughout the year; as you know February has been designated as Black History month.
With the new card marking and the introduction of students new to Bellview, we are spending some time reteaching and reviewing building and classroom expectations for effort, teamwork, safety, and behavior. Along with parents, our staff want the best for our students, both now and in the future. We appreciate your support in helping our Bellview Leaders realize their academic and social success.
Please be mindful of the winter weather as your student chooses his/her clothes each day. In addition, students should wear a winter coat, hat, and gloves. Students are not permitted into the building until 8:00 unless extreme weather conditions exist. Extreme weather is considered 15 degrees or below or a wind chill of 10 degrees or below. On extreme weather days, students will be allowed in the building at 7:55.
