News & Information for Tiger Families
Letter from the Principal
Students have been hard at work taking IOWA Assessments this past week. Please continue to encourage your students as they finish up testing this Monday and Tuesday.
Let's work together to make your child's experience a positive and successful one!
Here are some suggestions you can do to help everyday:
~ Attendance on TEST DAYS are important!
~ Ensure your child arrives at school on time.
~Have your child eat a healthy breakfast at home before coming to school.
~ Ensure your child gets a good night's sleep.
~ Wake up in plenty of time so your child doesn't feel rushed.
~ Gently encourage your child to do their best!
~ Make up tests are difficult to schedule and often do not provide students with an optimal testing environment.
Going on vacation during the school year? We know that sightseeing, enjoying family time, and experiencing new things are important. That is why this school year, all homework will be given upon the students return to school. Enjoy your time together making memories and your student's teacher will have your child's homework waiting for them when they return. (Family vacation can only account for 5 days of missed school, beyond 5 days in considered an unexcused absence.)
As always, we thank you for sharing your student with us. We appreciate your trust, support, and partnership.
