Meet our NEW Staff!!
Mr. Daniel (DJ) Abel
Daniel (DJ) Abel is a dancer, drama and forensic speech coach, restaurant server, Mariah Carey enthusiast, and a Pokemon trainer. To his list of talents and professions he adds teaching 8th grade English at Alder Avenue Middle School, starting this past December. Before that, he was a one-on-one LRC paraprofessional at Egg Harbor Township High School. He holds a BA in English Literature from Rowan University with minors in Dance and Education. Upon commencement, he was awarded an Outstanding English Major Award and the Bryna G. Goldhaft Dance Medallion.
DJ Abel has recently been obsessed with the life and discography of Mariah Carey, so much so that he has lost friendships over it. He also travels the country (when he has the free time) to attend various regional Pokemon Trading Card Game Events. This past year, he attended the Nashville Open at Pokemon World Championships in Nashville, TN and Pokemon International Championships in Columbus, Ohio. In his free time, he likes to go out dancing with his friends, enjoy a nice Dr. Pepper at home while snuggling up watching nostalgic movies and music videos, play Final Fantasy games, and update himself on pop culture or whatever the kids care about these days.
Ms. Lauren Nammour
I graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Allegheny College, in Meadville, PA. I majored in Mathematics with minors in Economics and Psychology. I went on to work in the financial services industry for about 10 years, most recently for Goldman Sachs, & Co. and Bank of New York Mellon. I held series 7 and 66 licenses as well as a Certified Trust and Financial Advisory designation. I hold an Executive Leadership and Management certificate from the University of Notre Dame. Before coming to Alder, I was co- teaching Algebra 1a and Algebra 1B at Egg Harbor Township High School.
In my free time, I enjoy any and all activities with my daughters Annabelle (5), Bria (3) and my husband, Ramy. I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pa and love all Pittsburgh sports. I currently reside in Egg Harbor Township with my family.
Ms. Brynn Buechler
I graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Stockton University in Galloway, NJ. I majored in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Elementary Education and a specialization in Middle School Math. I completed my student teaching at Dr. Joyanne D. Miller Elementary School, so I have some other experience within the Egg Harbor Township School District.
While completing my degree, I was also a four year member of the Stockton Women's Tennis team. In addition to playing tennis, I enjoy anything sports related in my free time. I am a huge Philadelphia sports fan and a Phillies season ticket holder. Originally, I lived in Pennsville, NJ but currently reside in Mays Landing.
Ms. Genna Fusaro
My name is Genna Fusaro, I went all through EHT schools, kindergarten to senior year of high school graduating in 2012; I attended Alder for fifth, sixth, and eighth grade. At the high school I played softball, field hockey, and was a member of FCCLA. I then went on to Stockton University as a literature major for secondary education. I graduated in May of 2018 as a member of Sigma Tau Delta. From a small child to my teenage years, school was always my favorite place to be and I'm still going to school, just now on the other side.
As long as I'm keeping busy, I'm happy, I cannot sit still for too long, unless I'm reading a book. I have always adored reading and would much rather be doing just that than anything else. Anywhere I go, I always have a book in my bag. I have a running list of words in my phone and every time I learn a new word and get to add it to the list, I get very excited, it's the little things. Teaching has always and will always be the only career option for me, especially since my letter to Hogwarts got lost in the mail. In all seriousness, I never wanted to be anything else. I considered other paths, other careers, but being an educator was always number one. My love for learning has turned into a love of teaching and the best part of it all, is getting to begin at the very school that gave me the tools, the amazing teachers, and the drive to become the very thing I aspired to be my whole life, a teacher.
