The Basics
You will use Shirley Jackson's stories to complete this project.
"What a Thought" - "The Lottery" - "The Possibility of Evil"
1. You and your partner will discuss the idea of what it means to be evil and whether or not these stories fit that definition.
2. You will explain how these stories are clear examples of Jackson's style and what the
story is trying to teach us about human behavior or values.
3. You will research an article that shows how people can be truly capable of amazing
things.
