Roosevelt Weekly Parent Info
Hello Roosevelt families! Wow...what a crazy week weather-wise!!! As hard as it is to miss so much school, safety has to come first. I can't wait to see everyone tomorrow, and I am hoping that many families will also be able to attend Roosevelt Night at the Museum TOMORROW evening (see below for specific information). It'll be good to get out of the house to see and play with friends!!
A few brief reminders for the week--thanks for taking the time to stay in the know:
• Mark Your Calendar: For those of you who like to plan ahead, please mark your calendar...Science Fair will be Friday, February 22 (optional for grades 3-5), Family Reading Celebration will be Friday, March 1, and the K-5 Music Concert will be held on Thursday, March 21.
• Roosevelt Night At The Museum: This FUN, family event is Friday, February 1, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 PM. Roosevelt students, along with an adult chaperone, are invited to this event. Students in grades K-2 are encouraged to attend from 5:00-6:30; students in grades 3-5 are encouraged to attend from 6:30-8:00. The Roosevelt PTO knows that your family might have kids in both groups OR that you may not be able to make this schedule work, and that's totally fine. They are just hoping to help reduce the crowd a bit throughout the night.
• Rocky Time: This month, we have been continuing our work on STRENGTHS--knowing our strengths, recognizing strengths in others, and celebrating them! How are YOU rockin' your strengths??? This would be a great conversation to have around the supper table, and parents, you can talk about your strengths and how you use them in your daily life!
