PACE Newsletter

Week of February 15th-19th, 2016

Dear PACE Parents,

This week all of my classes worked on taking notes on their topic. We talked again about plagiarism—copying the author’s words directly from the book or article. As the students find information they are putting the text into their own words. When the note cards are complete we will be grouping them according to the outline form.

At the end of this research project, the students will turn in a paper and a product. The product is something they make to go along with their topic and paper. There is a list of possible products in the research packet on page 9. The students should be thinking about which product they would like to make.

We also took a look at some roadside architecture. We discussed its purpose and some of the possible design challenges when building those unique structures.

Enjoy your week!
