A Message from Mrs. Miller
As we begin the 2nd nine weeks, it is almost as if we are having the 1st day of school again for the 3rd time this year. We are excited to welcome back almost 100 students to campus starting on Monday. As explained previously, some of our students are changing to different teachers for a variety of reasons. All of the parents of the students who are being impacted by this change should have received a phone call from the teacher to inform you of this change as well as answer any questions. We appreciate the grace and understanding each of you have given us throughout this ever changing situation. We are continuing to keep a student first focus while ensuring the safety and well being of all our students, families and staff. Thank you again for everything! Hoping to see you soon!
With Patriot Pride,
Mrs. Miller, Principal

Attendance Matters
Your child's attendance is important to us! We miss our students when they are gone. Our is 97% every day, every week! If your student is absent from on campus, please be sure to contact your child's teacher in order to see what work can be completed from home.
Additionally, per Texas Education Code (TEC), 25.092, students must attend 90% of the days a course is offered in order to be awarded credit for the course and/or to be promoted to the next grade. This requirement applies during the 2020-21 school year to both SCUC On Campus and SCUC @ Home.
The week of October 5, our attendance percentage was 97.79%. We are doing a great job!

Updated Standard Response Protocol & Handbook
The safety of our students and staff is important to us. SCUC ISD has adopted The “I Love U Guys” Foundation’s Standard Response Protocol (SRP). Students and staff will be training, practicing, and drilling the protocol throughout the school year which will include fire drills and lock down drill. Please click on the link below to read more about these protocols.
We practiced our first lockdown drill this week. As we had our drill, Mrs. Miller walked the students through the steps that is occurring and explained to the students why we practice these drills. The students did a great job!
PTC Fundraiser- Raise the Game!
We have fun school wide incentives planned for our students. If we reach our first goal of $5,000 then we will have a Popsicle drive through party.

Free & Reduced Price Meal Applications
Households with remote learners and or on-campus learners are encouraged to submit an application for the 20-21 school year. This application process benefits our students and the entire district.
Due to potential changes in families' economic circumstances as a result of COVID-19, SCUC ISD families may apply for benefits at anytime during the school year. If you are not eligible now but your income decreases, you lose your job, your family size becomes larger, or if you start getting SNAP, TANF or other benefits (such as unemployment benefits), you may complete an application at any time using the link below. Only one application is needed per household. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call our office at: (210)945-6045.
