Current NWMSU COVID-19 Mitigation Measures

All employees, students and visitors are expected to comply with mitigation measures while at work, attending classes, or visiting the Northwest campus and its facilities. Northwest requests that individuals self-monitor for COVID-19 or related symptoms and do not come to campus if symptoms present.

The University strongly encourages vaccination to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission. In general, people are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving their second dose of a two-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.

Individuals who do not meet these requirements, regardless of age, are not fully vaccinated and must continue taking precautions, including the wearing of face coverings, social distancing of 6 feet and handwashing, until they are fully vaccinated.

Vaccinations and the appropriate use of face coverings are critical to minimize the spread of COVID-19 to others. Students who fail to comply with mitigation measures may be reported to the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities by clicking this link.
