Current NWMSU COVID-19 Mitigation Measures
All employees, students and visitors are expected to comply with mitigation measures while at work, attending classes, or visiting the Northwest campus and its facilities. Northwest requests that individuals self-monitor for COVID-19 or related symptoms and do not come to campus if symptoms present.
As Northwest continues to align its COVID-19 response with CDC guidelines, the University recommends that all individuals wear face coverings in public, indoors settings. The University requires face coverings for all unvaccinated individuals as well as for all individuals who enter the Wellness Center, Horace Mann Laboratory School and use public transportation, including Safe Rides.
The University strongly encourages vaccination to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission. In general, people are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving their second dose of a two-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine.
Individuals who do not meet these requirements, regardless of age, are not fully vaccinated and must continue taking precautions, including the wearing of face coverings, social distancing of 6 feet, and handwashing, until they are fully vaccinated.
Vaccinations and the appropriate use of face coverings are critical to minimize the spread of COVID-19 to others.
