Rome has an estimated population of around 2.8 million inhabitants all contained withnin the area of 1,285 km or 580 sq miles. Rome, being apart of the E.U, has the euro currency, which compared to our currency, 100 cents equals 1 euro. Rome is also a very religious place, the main religion is Roman catholic, about 98% of the population. Rome also has a temperate climate with mild winters and hot summers.

The birth of the Eternal City, Rome, which was founded in 753BC, is celebrated every year by Romans on the 21st of April. The Celebrations include fireworks, gladiator shows, traditional Roman banquets and parades.

The Coloseum
The colosseum is a famous structure that at one point could hold 50,000 people. it's located in rome and was first known as the Flavin amphitheatre. At the time it was made, it was the largest building of the era. Emperor Vespasian was the founder of the colosseum and Although it has broken down, it is still an impressive sight.
Leaning Tower of Pisa
The Leaning Tower of Pisa is a bell tower in Pisa, Italy, famous for its drastic lean to one side. The bell tower, or campanile, is tilted about 3.99 degrees to one side, although before it was restored it leaned up to 5.5 degrees. The restoration project lasted from 1990 to 2001, and helped to prevent the tower from leaning too far and collapsing.
Saint peter's Basilica
Saint peters basilica is the world’s largest church, and is the center of Christianity. It took over a hundred years to build the church and was built by the greatest architects of its time. It was built on Vatican hill which is very symbolic.

Vatican City is a walled enclave which is situated in Italy's capital, Rome. It's the smallest country in the world by both population and area. Its walls are 3.2 km long and they enclose a territory of about 0.44 square kilometers. Vatican city is the home of the popes.

Rome has a museum which is entirely dedicated to pasta. The Pasta Museum is a one of its kind around the world and showcases different pasta-making machines, as well as paintings related to pasta by many artists.

Roman-born Niccolò Ammaniti came to international attention in 2003, with the release of the film "I'm not scared" , based on his novel Io Non Ho Paura. It is the story of a young boy in a small town in the South of Italy who stumbles across a terrible secret caught attention across the globe.
