What's Buzzin' with Mr. Barth!?
The School Climate Survey: Family
This survey obtains parent perceptions of school climate within the following five subscales: teaching and learning, school safety, interpersonal relationships, institutional environment, and parent involvement.
This 21-item survey uses a 4-point rating scale (from Strongly Disagree to Strongly Agree). Parents, caregivers, or guardians of enrolled students complete the survey without training either on or off campus. The time to complete the survey is approximately 10-15 minutes.
FUNDRAISER TIME!

Counselor's Corner
We welcome two new wonderful Counselors to Robb Elementary this year!
Mrs. Williams & Miss. Garbrick!
Resources You May Find Helpful:
Clinton County Resources: for anyone who might need anything, a list of resources to help families with various things - if you have a resource to add or a suggestion, please contact Mrs. Owens at bowens@kcsd.k12.pa.us .
https://www.imagineneighborhood.org/ : These podcasts were designed for children and their family members to listen to together and talk about the topics.

The Committee for Children partnered with the makers of Sesame Street to create resources for children and families that address big challenges and issues, and help them to work at building resilience.
Homelessness
Homelessness can happen to us at any time in our lives. Our school district has many ways to help families who find themselves in a homeless situation. Mr. Barth, our school counselors and Mrs. Manning, our Director of Pupil services are quick contacts for support.
Chromebooks & Chargers
Each student is assigned a Chromebook. To start, K-1 will keep them at school. Older students will carry their devices back and forth. Please make sure their laptop and charger comes to school, so they can participate in learning activities.
Masking Up!
Bookbags & Waterbottles
Your teacher will talk to you about bringing water bottles and your child's own, personal snack. Due to changes in schedules, personal snack time may not be held in all classrooms. Also, see below regarding allergy concerns.
Food Services Information
- School lunches will be served FREE of charge for ALL students for the start of the 2021-2022 school year.
**Even though meals are currently free, please fill out and return the Free & Reduced Meal Application. This is one of the data sources the district uses, and even if you don't choose to use the Free & Reduced meal offering, it really helps the district for you to apply.
**Please go to the district website, and under Food & Nutrition Services, sign up for EZ School Pay under Electronic Account Payments. This will allow you to track what meals your child is getting as well as add money to their account to purchase "extras" (that's what the children call a la carte options!)
- The grab-n-go option from the cafeteria for students who pack their lunches will still be offered for the remainder of the school year. This option is FREE to all students who pack their lunch.
- The bagged breakfast is free for every child.
Mrs Sharon Berger is the contact for questions regarding food services: sberger@kcsd.12.pa.us
At School Expectations
- Come prepared every day (this includes their chargers and devices)
- Maintain physical distance
- Bring and wear a mask on the bus at all times
- Use computers and devices for school work only (we do have a program that monitors emails and other communication sent from devices, you can help by reminding students of appropriate behaviors)
- Be sure to ask the teacher for help with any assignment and/or technology questions right away, because we have learned that we cannot miss out on face-to-face instruction opportunities!
- Make the most of each and every day! Do your best!
At Home Expectations
The only remote learning we have is through Virtual Academy. Mr. Evey is the principal for Virtual Academy. Students who are at home learning in the Virtual Academy are expected to:
- Log in to every class on time, and stay logged in until dismissed.
- Be dressed for learning, sitting up, and have all materials ready.
- Participate in class discussions and activities
- Use the mute button and on-line tools respectfully so that everyone can hear and participate.
- Wait to eat snacks or meals until after the class has finished.
- Remember that Virtual Academy is just like school - you are expected to work 4-6 hours during the school day, and waiting until after supper to try to fit it all in will not be enough time.
Daily Safety Procedures
We have many safety procedures in place at Robb:
- Everyone who enters the school must go to Door 1, the main office, and sign in with Mrs. Swartz or Mrs. Cohick, the school secretaries.
- Visitors will wear a visitor badge and be escorted throughout the school by an adult on staff. *Non essential visitors will not be permitted to the building at this time.
- Teachers will review proper mask-wearing, hand-washing, and other safety efforts that can keep everyone safe.
- Students will use their school-issued, or personal, computer device to limit sharing materials. If materials must be shared, they will be properly sanitized.
- Students will be seated at least 3 feet apart where possible.
