A Little Bit About Myself
I enjoy various types of art and to some people I may say that something you don't consider art as masterpieces! Everyone has there own opinion about everything. I may over appreciate some things that I consider art. You may not care. If you don't care feel free to leave I'm not going to keep you. I'm sure you can go find someone who shares your own views and opinions. But, remember, by reading this you may be able to broaden your view of the art around you everyday.
This may be the first kind of art you think of. It has been around for a very long time and you can obviously see it in museums. It's pretty common and you probably know enough about it so I'm not going to really be focusing on it that much. In fact I'm done talking about paintings.
This wonderful work was created by non other than Vincent Van Gogh
The Mona Lisa
This was created by Leonardo Da Vinci
A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte
Made by Georges-Pierre Seurat
Sculptures and Statues
This is kind of like paintings. It's very common and probably one of the first forms of art that you think of. I'm not going to talk about it any more. You probably know enough about it already.
Made by Auguste Rodin
The Lincoln Monument
This massive statue rests in the United States capital, Washington D.C.
This was created by Michelangelo
You may not think of this as a form of art but I feel it is and that it's under appreciated. Writing a poem, short story, novel, or novella they're all art. You can teach someone to paint. You can teach someone to sculpted. But you can't teach someone to write about a world, and the characters that inhabit it, that doesn't even exist yet! Literature can play with your emotions and make you feel sad and happy and mad and any other emotion you can feel at once! You go along with a character and face the same hardships and pain they do. You experience everything the do!
Music is a bit like literature. It is made of words that make you feel so many emotions. Music can tell a story, if you listen carefully. I stick with the classic rock and classical generas because I grew up listening to that and think the older bands actually put some effort in their work, unlike some "bands" that hire people to write the words and music, pay people to play the "songs" and then have some people take all the credit and pretend to be playing the "songs" at the concerts. Well music can twist your emotions and set the mood for a movie scene of play. Music is a very abstract thing that is so much a part of our lives but so many people take it for granted. Just imagine a world with NO MUSIC! Imagine!
This is probably the most common for of art that we don't really take the time to appreciate or even notice to its full extent! Nature provides inspiration and life! Nature is all original and you can never get the same thing back. It is a never ending always changing art that we need to learn to experience. That is probably the only way to truly enjoy and appreciate it. Nature is both abstract but also concrete at the same time. You can't just look around at it every once and awhile. That's fine but you need to do more.
“It is good to love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is well done.” ― Vincent van Gogh
Wilhelm Richard Wagner-Flight of the Valkyries
This entier thing is for school. I don't expect anyone to actually look at it.
