Please join us in congratulating Abby Moore for her FIRST PLACE win at our International Competition held in Nashville this past week. Abby competed in the Retail Merchandising series event against 170 students from around the world [including China, Mexico, Spain, Puerto Rico, Canada and the US].
In order to win, she took a 100 question test on Marketing that covers the areas of marketing, management, finance, business law and economics. In addition, she solved [in 10 minutes] two role plays in the areas of Pricing and Marketing Information Management. Once placed in the top 20, she again solved a role play with yet another judge. There were approximately 18,000 students at the international event.
Abby was our DECA Chapter President for the past year and did a fantastic job! Abby was also recognized in the national program as an Emerging Leader for Academic Excellence. The National Emerging Leader Honor Award for Academic Excellence is awarded to the top 300 Marketing students in the nation. Nike Work Based Learning Center Serves RBHS and SC Flood Victims
The school's administrator Mr. Howard Fuchs, classmate and teammate to Dr. Vacchio, set a goal twofold: for Nike WBL Center to establish and maintain a lasting relationship with RBHS and to help with fundraising and donation efforts in our area. Pictures below show the fruits of this labor. SC and RBHS is eternally indebted to the service of the students at this high school and look forward to a long term relationship.
