GRE Staff Newsletter
For the week of September 16, 2019
Dear Team,
Thank you for your hard work at Waiver Day yesterday. I hope you were able to find a few items that stuck with you to take back to your classrooms. Just a reminder that your goal from yesterday was to focus on one thing and dig deeper at it. Whether that was focusing on your mini lessons or taking a look at your writing instruction. Pick just one thing to tackle-you got this! If you were not able to attend yesterday, please see a team member to get the updates you missed. We covered some important items that are relevant to all positions so please make sure you get the information.
As we look at the week ahead, we have four days with students and one night of parent teacher conferences. If you would like me to sit in at any of your conferences, please don't hesitate to reach out. Dinner will be served at 5:45 in the STEM Hub. Announcements will be made at the end of each conference time to help keep you on track. This is such a great opportunity to talk with families about our amazing students. Remember as you prep for these that you are talking about someone's whole world-keep that kindness in your heart even if you have to share some difficult information.
Here's to an awesome week!
Kate

Questions-just ask!
2. Remember our Data Dive can be completed during a PLC time in September or we will be in the STEM Hub the last Tuesday of the month. We ask that you bring a high, medium, and low BAS assessment so that we can work on how this assessment should guide your instruction. To schedule your Data Dive before the last Tuesday of September, just email Katie and Kate a time you would like to meet as a PLC, otherwise we will see you there!
3. PAC will have a short meeting today. Click here for a DRAFT Agenda-Please see a member of PAC if you have any questions.
4. Tier II and Tier III groups start today. Moving forward, canceling groups for coverage will not be my first option when we are down a teacher in the building. Many factors go into making the decision about how we will cover students in the case of sub shortage. I will work directly with intervention and the team involved but the process is different for each grade level.
