FLU SHOTS
The best way to protect against the flu and its severe complications is to get a flu vaccine each year. Goodwin Community Health is offering a FREE FLU CLINIC to all High school students on September 29th at 8:30 am at the Middle School Media Center.
In order for your son/daughter to get this vaccine they must have a signed consent form with them on the day of the clinic. You will be able to print out forms on the High School Web site and also students are able to bring forms home from school. If you have any questions please contact Nan Soule ( High school nurse) at 692-2431 at ext. 1315 or via email at nsoule@ sau56.org .

Pumpkin-fest 2016
NHS will host a booth this year at the pumpkin festival, serving coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and pastries.
The estimated cost will be $2 for a drink and $1 for pastries.
Competency Recovery
This year, Mr. Shawn Lampron (Room 213) will be in charge of Competency Recovery. He will have 2016-2017 contracts available outside his door starting in a few weeks as the end of Quarter 1 approaches.
It is the student’s responsibility to get the contracts filled out and to follow the process if that student is eligible for recovery.
If you have any questions about the Competency Recovery process, please see him when he’s free. Thank you!
Interact Club
The Interact Club, led by President senior Hunter Gosselin and Vice President senior Rachael Wattimena, held its first meeting of the school year Monday after school in Rm. 215, with a new faculty advisor, English teacher Ms. Brucie Izard.
The Interact Act is a student organization which works closely with the Rochester Rotary Club volunteering and helping out at the numerous community events and fundraisers it holds every year.Students see it as a great opportunity to be more involved with other students and members of the Tricity area community and to be a part of something that is for the greater good of us all.
Upcoming fundraisers include the Miss Amazing pageant when the club runs a raffle with the grand prize of a full year of heating oil; tutoring middle school students; volunteering at the ASPCA and the local soup kitchen; providing childcare during parent teacher conferences, and hosting an Interact Open House Gala for both the Rochester and Somersworth high schools’ Interact clubs. New members are always encouraged to come by and check out all the fun things we have planned. Join us Mondays after school in Rm. 215.
