Operation Updates and New Programs

EcoLand Procedures and Timeline

At this time, out of an abundance of caution due to COVID-19, EcoLand visits will be suspended through the fall semester. The regular registration process will begin on August 10th, 2020 for the 20/21 Spring semester.

When visits do resume, the following procedures will be implemented to ensure a safe EcoLand visit. Among the changes that will be implemented, some of the most important are:

  • One ISD in the building per day with limited groups and group size to ensure social distancing

  • Daily sanitation between groups

  • All ISD safety protocols will continue to be implemented throughout students' EcoLand visit

  • Students will not share materials or classrooms with students outside of their normal classroom and will be in a self-contained environment

  • Use of the EcoLand Cafe for lunch will be reviewed on a case by case basis, to ensure ISD procedures are followed.

At EcoLand, our wish is to see students and teachers ASAP! Please check our website frequently for changes. All local, state and CDC guidelines will be taken into consideration when making future procedural changes.

EcoLand Certification Available Online!

Current EcoLand Certification is maintained by attending EcoLand with your class yearly. Teachers who are trained, but do not schedule a visit, will need to renew their certification.

(Exceptions have been made for those visits that were canceled due to COVID-19. If a visit was scheduled but had to cancel due to COVID-19 school closures, then those teachers will retain their certification for the 2020/2021 school year.)
