We adventured through a wild year and found incredible success by working together! Celebrate, enjoy the warm sun, complete activities off of your BINGO card, read for fun, travel to see family, binge watch your favorite show, and enjoy all of the moments. We will miss you all and will see you back in August! Have a wonderful summer!
Take care,

Summer BINGO
This summer we are again encouraging students to participate in the Summer Slide Bingo program. Students received Bingo sheets in this week’s Tuesday Express. Each of the Bingo sheets has a selection of activities that kids can do over the summer. We believe that these are fun things that families can do together. We hope that you have an enjoyable time completing each activity!
Students should return their completed Bingo sheets to their classroom teacher by August 19th. Students who complete five squares in a row (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) will earn an ice cream party. Students who complete the entire Bingo sheet will earn Eagle’s gear. So get out there and have fun this summer, and don’t forget to keep on learning!

Message from Lightworks Fiber
Here at Lightworks Fiber, we understand that building a strong community for future generations is crucial to bettering our society. Building a strong community starts with our children and students first and foremost. We take pride in supporting our local Paonia K-8 school knowing that our support is going to help create better leaders and members of this great community.

Austin Family Farms
Our four children all attended school in Paonia (1979-1982), along with several grandchildren, and we now have two great grandkids in Paonia K8. We believe in supporting the schools so that the kids that grow up in this community continue to have a place to grow and to thrive. Glenn and Tony Austin Austin Family Farms
BMW Motorcycle Club
The BMW Motorcycle Club of Colorado (BMWMCC) has held it's Top of the Rockies Rally for 50 years and roughly 35 of those have been hosted by Paonia. That being the case, the club has developed a very close relationship with the community. That relationship was originally established with Ellen Smith, a retired teacher, who established what came to be known as the Teen Center in the town park. Nowadays, the Ellen Hanson Smith Center hosts the BMWMCC for their annual rally and at the end of the event, in addition to covering the costs of holding the event, the club donates back to the center in an effort to help the community. The board of the Ellen Hanson Smith Center is made up of community minded people who either own businesses, work in health care, or are employed by the school district. It is no surprise that many of them are Lions. Supporting the Paonia community schools, both with fundraising opportunities and donations fits in perfectly with why the Ellen Hansen Smith Center was established and how the BMWMCC wants the center to use their donation.
Austin Family Honey
I played basketball for PHS from 2012 to 2015. Supporting Paonia K8 is important to me because my niece, nephew, and younger siblings all attend the school. Eric Carney Austin Family Honey
