The Future of Hardy Elementary
The Hardy Elementary PTA is hosting a parent input meeting on Tuesday, April 2nd to allow parents to ask questions and provide feedback on the proposed renovation. Dr. Jim Thornton, Superintendent of IWCS, will be presenting. Please click on the video below to view the presentation to include pictures of Hardy and how our school compares to other schools in the county. Please contact Chelsea Finley @ finley_chelsea@yahoo.com or Laurie Johnsey @ lauriesjohnsey@gmail.com if you would like more information on how you can help. Two of our wonderful mustangs demonstrated GRIT on March 20th by presenting to the Board of Supervisors on behalf of the student body at Hardy Elementary. Lucas Waycaster, second grader in Mrs. Wilson's class and Olivia Austin, 4th grader in Mrs. Sawyer's class, both demonstrated Gumption, Resiliency, Integrity and Tenacity by informing the Board of Supervisors on why Hardy should be recommended for renovation.

What Does It Mean to be a GREAT Citizen at Hardy?
Parents, as we enter the 2nd quarter of the school year, please review the following behavior expectations with your child. Our goal is to help build life long relationships with our students by modeling GREAT citizenship on a daily basis. However, if your child does not make the right choice, he or she will be held accountable for their actions and a consequence will be given.
Hardy Elementary students will demonstrate the following GREAT behaviors daily:
Growth - You strive for improvement everyday.
Respect - You value yourself, others and your school.
Empathy - You care about other people’s feelings.
Accountability - You take ownership of your actions.
Trustworthiness - You show honesty in all you do.
Our beliefs:
We believe in treating all individuals with dignity and respect.
We believe in establishing procedures and routines to promote a positive learning environment within our school.
We believe that making good choices matter and reflecting on our choices should lead to better decision making.
