ANNOUNCEMENTS
STAFF ONLY:
- Student Intent To Return Form Process: Forms need to be turned in to the front office before you leave on break. Turn them in as you get them and use the roster to keep track of who you are missing one from. Anyone who does not turn in a form by the due date should be asked to fill one out at conferences. If you need additional forms, the link is below to the forms on our website.
- 8th Vision Screening: All 8th grade students will participate in vision screening 1st period March 11. Please see your google calendar item for info on where and when to take your 1st period class. Prepare accordingly and see Edwards for questions.
- SBAC Testing: Get ready - it's coming in April/May! See below section for more details. Carts were re-arranged to accommodate testing. Please check out the schedule so you are aware of any changes we may have made to what you signed up for. Do not make a change to the schedule/carts without checking with Edwards during the testing window. Thank you in advance!
Tech March Break: Please lock up tech accordingly or take it home over break.
Conferences: Please communicate conference attendance before spring break to Anzelc.
DC/NYC: 8th students partaking in the DC trip will be leaving Thurs eve. Students are expected to come to school Thurs. 8th students who are not going on the trip are expected to come to school Fri as it's school as usual. Teachers please communicate this expectation to families.

- Student Led Conferences: Student-led conferences are this week and we are excited to visit with you. A couple of reminders: (1) there are minimum days during conference week to accommodate for time, and (2) please make accommodations for parking depending on your conference time - there is no 3rd row parking in the parking lot - this is a safety issue for school access.
- Student Intent To Return Forms: If you have not turned in your form, please make sure you get your form in to secure your student's spot for the 19-20 school year before break! - 8th Grade Parent Info for NP3 HS Incoming 9th: NP3 HS counselors will be visiting 8th grade Advisories the week of April 8. Students will learn about courses they will be taking in 9th grade and participate in the course selection process. - Q3 Spirit Week: This week is spirit week. Show your spirit by dressing up on the following days: Mon: Teacher Look Alike Day; Tues: Twin/Squad Day; Wed: PJ Day; Thu: Sports Day; Fri: Disney Day. If you're not in spirit wear, you are expected to be in dress code.
- Run for Rhett: After school training sessions have started. If your student wants to join, they can complete registration and join Wed practices; Mar 13 1-2pm or Apr 3, 10, 17, and 24 3-4pm. Run for Rheet meets on the track. Contact Ms. Clark for questions rclark@natomasunified.org.
- DC/NYC Trip: 8th graders who are signed up for the 2019 DC/NYC trip will be leaving late evening on Mar 14! Students attending the trip are expected to attend school that day. Students who are not attending the trip will have a regular minimum school day on Fri. Additionally, Ms. Clark will be visiting 7th grade classes before break to share info with students about the Spring 2020 trip.
- Overbooked Book Drive: Our Campus Book Club is running a book drive Apr 1-30. The goal is to have 50 Young Adult and/or Children's books (lightly used or new) donated in 30 days! To donate a book, find the Overbooked Book Drive box in any teacher classrooms. See Ms. Snelling for further questions.
- Glow In The Dark Bingo: Fri Apr12 Student Gov't will host a Glow in the Dark Bingo Night 3:30-5:30 in the cafeteria! The event is open to all NP3 K-12 Families (adults and kids of all ages are welcome). Amazon gift cards valued from $5-$50 are your prizes and you can win each game. The cost is $3 per person and includes entry and a glow in the dark necklace. Pizza and flare will be available for sale.
- Flag Football: We have a Flag-Football Tournament coming your way! Qualifying rounds are Apr 2-5. Placement is Apr 8-12. Semi-finals are Apr15-16 and the finals will be on Apr 19. Spring Break: Spring Break is headed our way! There will be no school Mar 18-29. We will see you again Mon Apr 1!
SBAC testing: SBAC is administered in April/May. Please make sure your student is well rested and on time for school. Testing dates: 6th grade Apr 22-26; 7th grade Apr 29-May 3; 8th grade Apr 22-May 3.
