POLAR EXPRESS DAY!
In lieu of a Winter Party, the second grade classes will be having Polar Express Day THIS Friday, December 19th. We will conclude our Polar Express literary study by watching the movie during the afternoon and enjoying a "Hot Chocolate Bar." All students are invited to wear their pajamas on that day. Our class will also enjoy a "North Pole Breakfast", so please plan on your child having breakfast at school that day. We are in need of lots of donations, so if you would like to donate any food for the breakfast and/or movie snack, please click HERE to sign up (password: frobig). This is a great tradition for our second graders and I know the kids will have fun!
Last Minute Polar Express Day Details...
- If you have volunteered to send in items for the breakfast and/or movie snack, please deliver them to school by Thursday afternoon. Thank you!
- Children are encouraged to wear their pajamas on Friday; however, please make sure that the pajamas are appropriate for school and outdoor recess. Also, tennis shoes, or regular shoes, must be worn to and from school and during outdoor recess. Once inside the classroom, students are more than welcome to change into slippers!
- Many students have asked if they can bring in stuffed animals on Friday. I told them they were allowed to bring in one stuffed animal, and it must be able to fit inside their backpack!
Missing Anything?
There will be two tables set up in the front entrance with Lost and Found items until Friday, Dec 19th. After that date the items will be distributed to children in need. Thank you!
