JEANS WEEK!
Reflections from Thursday
Thank you to those who have filled out our inclement weather feedback form sent yesterday - we are up to 28 responses. We will leave this open for the next week for anyone else who would like to provide feedback - link can be found below.
I am tremendously proud of everyone's efforts Thursday to keep our students and each other safe. There were a lot of moving parts, conflicting weather reports, and myriad of variables we had to balance in the moment - I am proud of our overall response, albeit, many things to learn from to make an uncomfortable situation more comfortable with what we have to work with.

We have had 51 responses thus far! Please know that each and every staff member is encouraged to fill this feedback form out - certified and classified staff. We have received excellent feedback related to both the positive and growth areas - we really do value this feedback and will review at SIT and grade levels this week.

SIT Meeting Monday, February 3 - Notes
District Audit Results
We did well overall, but we had about a handful of doors that were left unlocked. A simple rule to live by: if you have a door, it must be locked at all times - it can be opened while you are in there, but it should be locked at all times and closed if you leave the room at any time. We may possibly be on a schedule to reassess if we continue to have doors left unlocked.
Important Reminders:
1. Outside doors/gates should never be propped open - if you see one open, it is your responsibility to do something and to not leave it for someone else to mind.
2. All interior doors must be locked at all times - classroom doors may be open if occupied, but should still remain locked. If you leave your class, it must be closed behind you.
3. ID badges must be worn at all times.

Need CEU's? A message from HR
If staff members are looking for ideas for getting credits for their licensure, we have a place on the HR website that they can go to for ideas.
On the HR licensure page, underneath the table of credits is a link “if I am short on credits where can I go?”
When they click on this link we have a working document with ideas of free resources.
The direct link to this page is: https://www.cabarrus.k12.nc.us/Page/75192 if you want to share it with anyone.
Also, be sure to check periodically your licensure status and the amount that you need for renewal.
