NEWS FROM WERNER
PSD Expectations for Remote Learning in all schools
The district’s focus is to have all students participate in in-person learning at schools as much as possible. However, some students may miss being in school because of illness, quarantine, an emergency or other circumstances. PSD wants to ensure students can continue learning remotely when they can't be at school regardless of the reason for the absence. Teachers and staff will do their best to support students who are learning online.
More information is available on the PSD Remote Learning web page. There you will find expectations, information about Teacher Learning pages, and additional technology resources. Please let us know if you have specific questions about how this looks at our school.
The Giving Tree
New Book Vending Machine
For this year, we will allow every student the chance to pick a book for their birthday. Beginning after winter break, we will start having students pick a book on their birthday. Students that have already had their birthday, or have summer birthdays, will be called down throughout the semester as well.
We are excited for our students to be able to use this and thanks for your support!
Weigh in: Take this survey to inform PSD’s future school year calendars
You are invited to share your thoughts to help inform the development of future Poudre School District school year calendars. This survey, available in Spanish and English, is open from Dec. 1, 2021, through Jan. 1, 2022. Families who need support with Arabic translation may contact their family liaison.
The PSD Calendar Committee will consider community feedback when creating the draft 2023-24 and 2024-25 school year calendars. PSD Calendar Committee members are scheduled in April 2022 to present draft school year calendars to the school board.

A Note from Our Health Office
Student Illness
Students who develop COVID-like symptoms while at school will need to go home. This includes: new or worsening cough, upset stomach, sore throat, runny nose, congestion, and headache. Some of these symptoms overlap with other health conditions such as seasonal allergies or anxiety. If your student has a known health condition, it needs to be documented with a note from a medical provider and turned in to the Health Office in order for your student to remain at Werner with these symptoms. You can look up the health conditions on record for your child by logging in to ParentVue, click on ‘Health’, then click on ‘Health Conditions’.
"Return to Learn" Guidance
If your child is experiencing illness symptoms, please refer to the CDPHE Return to Learn Guidance for helpful pointers as to whether your child can return to school or not.
