2022 NCSCA Legislative Day - Canceled

We have been working hard to make Legislative Day a successful event this year. Our lobbyist, The Policy Group, scheduled meetings with key legislators and other state government officials in preparation for next week. Unfortunately, the meetings were abruptly canceled due to changes in their schedules. Due to these last-minute changes in the legislative schedule, we will have to modify next week’s Legislative Day.

A Video Message from The Policy Group

While we are disappointed in this news, there is still an opportunity for School Counselors to advocate! We have partnered with ASCA to offer members a simple and effective way to participate in the legislative process. Instead of joining us in Raleigh, we ask that you participate in our Voter Voice Campaign to inform and educate our legislators on the role of the school counselor in North Carolina now through June 24th.
