Principal's Message
Dear Fammatre Families,
I hope you and your loved ones are well.
I want to call your attention to the email that was sent out from Dr. Andrews on 11/30/20 . Please take a moment to fill out the form included if you are NOT planning on having your child return to in-person instruction when Santa Clara County returns to the RED or a less restrictive tier.
Here is some additional information which I hope will answer some of the questions you have at this time.
Parents/Guardians who do not intend to send their child to school for in-person instruction when Santa Clara County returns to the RED tier are asked to complete this FORM by Friday, December 4th. This will be very helpful for planning purposes. No action will be taken without notifying you first.
Every effort will be made to maintain current teacher/class assignments and minimize the shuffling of classes, but classroom placement changes may be inevitable for those choosing distance learning. Parents/Guardians will be notified prior to students being moved to a different classroom. We firmly believe that stability is essential at this time for our students. It is our priority to maintain student/teacher placements to the highest degree possible.
All the dates planned for heading back to the classroom are pending if Santa Clara County remains in a RED tier that allows students to return to in-person learning in our county. Please note that if we stay in the PURPLE tier, there will be a special board meeting on Thursday, January 7th to adjust the return dates.
Thank you for your patience during this challenging time. Your support is deeply appreciated as we continue to work toward the well-being of our students.
Warmly,
Jackie Smith
Principal

Support Cambrian Students
YOU CAN HELP SUPPORT CAMBRIAN STUDENTS AND ENDORSE CAMBRIAN LAND DEVELOPMENT
The Cambrian School District has been in the process of assessing potential land redevelopment of District-owned properties as a new ongoing revenue stream to support our students, programs, and District. After evaluating multiple options, we identified the Metzler Elementary School at Cambrianna Drive as a promising opportunity to convert a portion of this site into an ongoing revenue stream. The proposed development matches and complements the character of the neighborhood.
The proposed housing development project for the Cambrian School district will generate ongoing revenue that will support CSD’s outstanding programs.
Please join Cambrian parents, teachers, and neighbors and click here to sign a letter of support asking the City of San Jose to approve the District’s general plan amendment application.
For more information about the Cambrian School District’s “Support Our Students” land development initiative, please check out our webpage or contact former Cambrian School District parent Eve Walton at SOSCambrianSchoolDistrict@gmail.com. US Department of Agriculture Extends Free Meal Programs for the Entire School Year
On Monday, November 2nd, the brown bag meal service returned to the 11:00a - 1:00p service time. Meals will be available for pickup at Price Middle School, Monday through Friday. Daily service provides lunch for that day and breakfast for the following day. Friday service also provides breakfast and lunch for Saturday and Sunday and a breakfast for Monday. The meal is offering these meals free to every child aged 18 and younger. You do not need to show any ID and children do not need to be present to receive meals. Applications to apply for subsidized meal programs are available online at https://family.titank12.com.
These applications not only provide access to much-needed benefits for our families; they also serve as a data point used to generate additional revenues we rely on as a District. For this reason, we encourage all of our families to complete the application process even if they may not elect to participate in the meal program. This will ensure we are maximizing our revenue opportunities which will allow us to continue offering excellent educational programs that make us Cambrian. We look forward to continuing to serve our students and provide an important home to school link for our students.
