SC Clarion
Weekly Staying Connected, Edition 8, September 12
From Majors Ruwethin
Hi Church -
Can you believe it's already been a month since our last potluck? Some might think - why? Isn't there sickness going around? Or why so often? Is it really necessary to meet so soon? Others might think - yeah! I want to do this every week! Well, we figured, let's split the difference and stick to the second Sunday of each month. But .. WHY?
Hebrews 10:25 (NLT) says, "And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
As you can see from our neighbor's dog - the fence keeps the dog safe in it's own space, it also keeps the outside world safe from a potential dangerous dog. But, look at how the dog, squeezes it's nose and paws out as far as he can. Peeking through to the outside world, because it's need to connect with others.
Hee, hee, we don't want to call us "dogs", but want to say whether we recognize it or not, we are people that need connection - to God AND to each other. On these fellowship Sundays, we encourage you to stay, play, talk, eat, socialize, and get to know each other because this is your family.
Make sure you read/scan the newsletter each week - new info is out all the time!

Impact Learning Lab - Habits of Holiness
September 25, 2021 will be our next “Impact Learning Lab” and we hope you and your corps family will join us. Major Nancy Helms will be sharing “Habits of Holiness”. In this time together, she will share with us the concept of a “Rule of Life”. Taken from sacredordinarydays.com “A rule of life is a commitment to live your life in a particular way. It is meant to be crafted with prayer and discernment, in partnership with God, as you consider the way God made you and the values He has inscribed upon your heart. Once written, it serves as a tool that can help you make decisions for your life and determine how best to order your days.”
