COUNSELORS CORNER
Did you know??? Seniors received their ASVAB score reports this week and we were able to explore their possibilities on the ASVAB website. Students got great information on careers they may enjoy, education required for those careers, and what colleges offered their degree programs. It was a lot of fun to watch as they accessed information that was so completely relevant to them. Be sure to ask your student about their experience!
Did you know??? Counselors spent several days this week talking to students about next year's registration possibilities. Students asked great questions about career paths, classes, and options for them as we move them forward to the next year. We also talked about what students need to do if they fail a course and lose credit...for our students, this means an Edgenuity course on their own time. It's much easier to pass a course than to make it up, so be sure to encourage your student to get their work turned in, and to do well on the tests so they can pass.
Did you know??? December's Coyote Care focus is Kindness. Kindness matters and it's not just the person receiving kindness that benefits. Studies show that doing kind acts for others can increase levels of happiness and optimism, and reduce feelings of anxiety and depression. Want to know more??
