Highland School Update
Gardens: This year the horticulture class utilize the greenhouse and the courtyard that the greenhouse is located. In the courtyard, the class used raised beds to plant tulips and the greenhouse to grow strawberries and herbs. They did not have the yield of fruits and herbs that they wanted so all of the strawberries and herbs went home with the students.
Facilities: Installed high efficiency electric AC/Heating system to the "E" wing, 1st floor, installed high efficiency electric AC/Heating system to the "G" wing, installed high efficiency electric AC/Heating systems in LMC Classroom, Bandroom, Weight Room and one office in CST and the building was finished being retrofitted with LED lighting throughout.
Timber Creek School Update
Gardens: The organic garden is starting to get back to its former glory. We have grown produce and herbs that are used in our Culinary classes. We are looking forward to increasing our crops next year and being able to share what we grow with the community.
Facilities: We have repaired HVAC units that were not energy efficient. We have also updated many HVAC units and controls.
Triton School Update
Organic Garden: It was great to get the organic garden up and running again. We were able to grow vegetables and herbs that were shared with our Culinary Classes.
Facilities: Installed high efficiency electric AC/Heating system in the S wing, installed energy start appliances washer/dryer in H9 classroom and retro fitted the entire school to Led bulbs and fixtures.
