Spirit Week Coming Week of February 8th
Hey All You Hudson Fans! Get ready for Spirit Week coming Monday, February 8th through Friday, February 12th (the week before February break). The Spirit Day themes will be the same on Monday and Thursday as well as Tuesday and Friday so that both Cohorts A and B get the opportunity to participate in the same themes. We encourage ALL students to participate both in-person at school and virtually at home. So, Cohort D show us what you got at home!
The Spirit Day themes are as follows:
Monday (2/8) and Thursday (2/11): Hawks Pride (red & white)
Tuesday (2/9) and Friday (2/12): Color Wars
- Seniors - Black
- Juniors - White
- Sophomores - Red
- Freshman - Blue
- Eighth grade - Green
- Faculty - Purple
Also, throughout Spirit week, we will be bring back Penny Wars! Five jars, one for each grade, will be located on a table in the cafeteria. All the grades will compete to bring in the most coins. Pennies are positive points while silver coins and bills are negative points. In other words, you want to fill your grade’s jar with pennies and sabotage the other jars with silver coins and bills. The grade with the most points by the end of the week will earn the title of “Most Spirited”. The money we collect will be donated to the Hudson Food Pantry.
Reserve a Copy of the Hudson High School 2021 Yearbook
Attention students in Grades 8-11, faculty, and parents: A yearbook is the best way to preserve memories from high school. As always, the yearbook will include a portrait section by grade and a staff section. It will also include photos of after-school clubs, sports teams, school functions, as well as everyday student life.
The yearbook staff is working hard to put together a book everyone can enjoy, and each spring many students are disappointed to find that the yearbook has sold out, so we encourage you to order early.
The cost is $85.00 per book. Yearbooks can be purchased online with a credit card via your MySchoolBucks account or by bringing a check for $85.00 made payable to Hudson High School and this order form to Mrs. Carter in the main office. Orders placed before Friday, February 12th will be guaranteed a copy.
MEMBERS OF THE SENIOR CLASS DO NOT NEED TO RESERVE A YEARBOOK. ONE IS RESERVED FOR EVERY MEMBER OF THE CLASS OF 2021 AS PART OF THEIR CUMULATIVE DUES PAYMENTS!
Attention Class of 2023 Sophomores:
We are continuing the Hudson High tradition of class rings, but in a socially distanced way. If you are interested in purchasing a class ring, check out the informational packet distributed during A block this week. It gives instructions on how to order online & the free gift you can receive if you place your order by Friday, February 12. Additional packets and packets for Cohort D students can be found on the table in front of the Main Office. If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Nielsen at wbnielsen@hudson.k12.ma.us. Go Hawks!

Important Class of 2021 Information...
Senior Sweatshirts: Class officers came up with an incredible design for the sweatshirt that was presented in the video. It can also be viewed on the senior website. If you would like to order a sweatshirt, the link is on the senior website under “Sweatshirts”. The cost is $35, and the deadline to order is TODAY (Wednesday, January 27). This deadline cannot be extended as sweatshirts need to arrive before the 100 Day event being held on Wednesday, February 24 so please plan accordingly!
Class Dues: Dues for the Class of 2021 were assessed as follows: Freshman year - $30, Sophomore year - $35, and Junior year - $40. We’ve worked hard this year to keep senior dues at $40. Seniors will not be issued a cap, gown or yearbook until all financial obligations are met, including but not limited to athletic and lunch fees.
Please continue to check your MySchoolBucks account for your dues balance; we ask that you pay in full by March 1st. Reach out to your school counselor and/or Mr. Goldberg if you are experiencing a financial hardship.
If you have any additional questions, please contact Senior Advisors Brianna Miele at bmiele@hudson.k12.ma.us or Tim Reinhardt at treinhardt@hudson.k12.ma.us . You may also reach out to the senior class Assistant Principal Adam Goldberg at angoldberg@hudson.k12.ma.us

HHS Home & School Association News
Happy New Year from the Home & School Association. Recently we have been meeting to discuss how we can help the sophomore class with a virtual movie night by providing snacks, increasing the number of scholarships we offer to seniors (five $500 scholarships), and editing the criteria for senior scholarships (essay, volunteerism, work, community service, financial need, academics). We always welcome any parent/student/teacher input and invite you to join our meetings. Our future dates for spring 2021 are Tuesday, February 2, Monday, March 1, Monday, April 5 and Monday, May 3, all at 6:30pm. Sign ups for meeting links will be posted in the Round Robin as the date nears. A representative from HHS administration also attends so it is a good time to join us and offer your input for your HHS student. Thank you for your support and hope to "see" you at our next meeting.
