waiters, understatements, and tipping
In France it is very impolite to address a waiter or waitress by garcon. They are seen as knowledgeable professionals and take their job very seriously.
In France if something people have a tendency to understate if they like or dislike something. If something taste amazing they might say it is just okay.
15% tip is included in every item on a french menu. Tipping isn't necessary but it is nice if the service is amazing.
