- On July 6, 1942 the Frank family goes into hiding in the secret annex.
- On July 13,1942 the Van Pels family moves into the secret annex with the Franks.
- August 4, 1944 the familys hiding place was discovered.

- Anne's parents began to worry about the new leader in Germany, Adolph Hitler. Hitler and the Nazi party wanted to rid Germany of Jews and other people whom they did not see as German.
- Anne"s father prepared a hiding place for the family. He was afraid that the Germans would send them to concentration camps.
- When Anne's sister, Margot, was ordered to enter a camp, the family had to act. They fled from their apartment and moved into the hiding place, called the secret annex.

The One And Only Surviver
Outto Frank was Anne's father. He was the only one that surrvived the death camps. After being freed he knew his wife, Edith was dead but he didn't know both of his children were dead. So he sent out a search party for Anne and Margot and later found out both of them were dead. So he got remarried and lived the rest of his years.
