Women’s History Month
Girlhood (It’s complicated) commemorates the anniversary of woman suffrage by exploring the concept of girlhood in the United States, but also how girls changed history in five areas: politics, education, work, health, and fashion. We argue that girlhood has an unexpected and complicated history and that girls, like suffragists, used their voices to make a difference.
Parents and Tutors Limit School Visits
We encourage parents to complete any school business electronically, if possible, to limit office visits to the essential business.
If you have questions about school-related issues, please contact the appropriate school office or department. Our office support staff will be available to answer your questions.
However, if necessary, you may schedule an appointment for an in-person office visit or Request a meeting
School Arrival Guidelines
Parents are asked to check their student’s temperature before leaving for school and to keep any child with a fever at home.
CAR RIDERS, WALKERS, or CITY BUS RIDERS: Car riders. walkers, or city bus riders will NOT be permitted into the building before 7:00 am. Once a student is on LEAD Academy/Cameron property, he or she is required to adhere to the social distancing and safety guidelines outlined in this document. Failure to do so will result in consequences including a possible required return to virtual learning.
BUS RIDERS: Bus riders will be assigned seats and must wear a mask on the bus. When students arrive in the school buses, they will need to wait on the bus, as they will be gradually released into the school to maintain safety guidelines. Students who do not adhere to these guidelines will be required to remain virtual and will no longer have the option of attending school in person.
All students will have their temperatures checked prior to entering the building.
Students will go through the cafeteria line to pick up prepackaged breakfast and report to assigned classrooms.
If a student does not meet the health requirements (e.g., fever, cough, loss of taste or smell, etc.) as determined by our Licensed School Nurse, the following will occur:
They will be moved to an isolation room within the building.
Parents will be called to pick up the student; he/she cannot attend classes at school.
Parents must remain inside their vehicles at all times during arrival and dismissal, including early dismissal. Parents may not walk students into the building.
Late Arrival Guidelines
Students who come to school after 7:35 am (Tardy Students)
At arrival, a tardy student will sign in electronically by using a Student Tardy Check-In google form. If the parent is dropping the student, the parent should remain in their car until students enter the building. This form is only for LEAD student use, parents cannot acces the form.
How does it work? The student will scan with his or her phone the QR code that will be posted on the entrance walls/doors. The QR code will open a google form sheet for students to enter their name, grade, time and date.
The student will show the email of receipt to the teacher at the lobby door to enter the school hallway.
Parents must remain inside their vehicles at all times during arrival and dismissal, including early dismissal. Parents may not walk students into the building.
Students check the video below to see new Tardy Check In Procedure
