Principals' Message

Hello Rockledge Families,

We don't know about you...but WOW is it April already! We have had a great time during these last three quarters of school. Third quarter report cards will go live in ParentVUE on April 18th.

Thank you to everyone who came out for some of our most recent events. It was great seeing so many of you dancing the night away and then getting down to the fun business of learning about math games you can do at home with your children.

This month is moving full steam ahead with so many things to honor and celebrate. This month is the Month of Military Child, we appreciate the sacrifice of our military families and will be celebrating our children this month. This month we also recognize World Autism Awareness. says it best, we must all "take the pledge to help create a world where all people with autism can reach their full potential", and we remember that as we support families everyday.

In support of our students that will be recognizing Ramadan over the next month, there will be alternative lunch location options for children to access if they choose. We will also provide modified recess and physical education options if children choose to access less strenuous activity during those times.

Families, we just have one more week until the start of Spring Break. I hope that each of you take some time to enjoy family and slow down a bit.

Every Child...Every Day...We are Rockledge!

Your Principal & Assistant Principal,

Mrs. Steptoe-Coleman

Mrs. Everett

April 4th-8th is National Assistant Principal's Week. We would like to take this time to honor and show gratitude to our very own Mrs. Megan Everett. Mrs. Everett is in her fourth year as Assistant Principal of Rockledge Elementary School. She believes in vision of the school, the students, staff, and community. She has a passion to ensure that all students have what they need to be successful.

Please take this week to show your appreciation for all that she gives to our community. We have a special Padlet set-up where you can share a message of appreciation this week.
