Why I pick this subject
I pick this subject because I want to learn what Mobius Syndrome is. I wanted to know if this disease is a common disease. How this disease is inherited and how to prevent it from happening.
Definition of the disorder
It makes people weaker. It affects the muscles that control the facial expression and movement.
Description of the symptoms
They are not able to smile, frown, raise their eye browns, sometimes they cant blank, or they cant move their eyes side to side.
Cause of the disorder
When the body is not fully developed in the 6th and 7th cranial. There are other cranial nerves that sometimes occur.
Disorder is inherited
This disorder is a sex-linked. They are located in chromosomes 3, 10, 13.
Disorder is treated
They are usually benefits from physical and speech therapy to improve their gross motor skills and coordination, and that they can gain control of their speaking and eating.
Diagnosed
Moebius Syndrome is not a diagnostic test. It is made by clinical examination.
Likely to have the disorder
It affects 1 in 50,000 to 1 in 500,000 newborn baby's. Moebius syndrome is a rare neurological condition. Moebius syndrome has nothing to do with location. It occurs from birth.
