Cell Phones at SMS

Students at SMS keep their cell phones in their backpacks for a number of reasons. Please communicate with your student through the office. Texting students on their personal cell phone can be distracting and disruptive to the learning environment.

The deadline to order yearbooks is April 18, 2022

Late to School?

If your student arrives for school after 7:25am, then they are considered tardy. If they arrive to school late please drop your student off in front of the building.

Please make every effort to drop your student off to school on time. Students miss important messages and valuable instructional time if they are consistently late.

NWEA results are being mailed home

Please be on the lookout for winter NWEA scores. If you would like to know more about NWEA I highly recommend watching this video.

SMS Garden Club starts soon! Let's start cleaning out our sheds!

Attention families! Doing some spring cleaning and not sure what to do with those old gardening supplies? The SMS Garden Club will be starting on Friday, April 8th, and we are asking for donations of gently used gardening items you may be looking to replace. We particularly need rakes of a variety of sizes, digging and/or edging shovels. Also, we would be happy to take any seed packets you may be thinking of tossing as well! If you are unsure about whether or not something would be useful, please contact Meredith Lyons at: mlyons@conval.edu. Thank you in advance from Mrs. Lyons!

Knitting and Crocheting Club

The Knitting and Crocheting Club is looking for donations! South Meadow School is now up and running for fifth through eighth grade students. We have over 18 students and need supplies! The group is looking for materials from the community to be able to get to creating! These are some of the things we are looking for:

  • Any yarn

  • Crochet hooks

  • Knitting needles

  • Row markers

  • Buttons

  • Large plastic yarn needles

If anyone has any of these items and is willing to donate to this club we would really appreciate it! These can be dropped off at the office.
