Impact Foundation

The Impact Foundation (IF) is a high school student committee of the York Suburban Education Foundation (YSEF) with the goal of students helping students.

We can provide additional food and supplies for your family!

You may be familiar with the IF’s “Backpack Buddies” program at VVE. Due to the change in school schedules and concerns about public health as a result of Covid-19, we have changed how this program is operating. While those backpacks provided food for one student for one weekend, we are pleased to offer you access to a “choice pantry” that can feed your whole family. We are operating a food distribution program out of Luther Memorial Church (LMC) located next to York Suburban High School.

There is a form called a TEFAP that you will need to complete either before coming or when you arrive to pick up your food. This form confirms that your current income based on family size meets the criteria to access food resources. The form allows an adult volunteer with YSEF to pick up food from the York County Food Bank on your behalf. You may complete this form in advance and return it to the office at VVE, or you can bring it with you when you pick up your order at the pantry. Please know that your confidentiality is important and your information will be kept secure.

When you qualify for the service per the TEFAP form, you can place an order online and select the items your family needs. In addition to canned goods, we also try to offer household supplies, toiletries, fresh milk, eggs, meat, and produce each week. When you place an order, you can choose a time slot between 3:00 PM - 6:30 PM on Thursdays. Then you can come to the drive-through pickup at LMC at your scheduled time slot. You can order weekly or less frequently.

Food Service Program: Important Updates and Reminders

The School District has secured funding to make meals FREE for all (Hybrid and TOP) students through December 31, 2020. Starting September 4, 2020, students will not be charged for the meals they eat in school or during remote learning days. Please read THIS LETTER for details and instructions on how to receive meals on virtual days.

Chromebook Guidelines and Insurance

If you indicated on the Chromebook Agreement that you would like to purchase the $20 insurance and have not yet paid, please submit payment. You can do so by sending in cash or check with your student or paying online through Infinite Campus.
