Geometric Art "AKA" Geo-Art

Have you ever envisioned your computer screen as a canvas? Try it! Check out Part 1 of our student's geometric art work. These "canvases" are composed predominately of simple geometric forms, such as circles, rectangles and triangles. Students chose a picture of their favorite animal, and re-created the image using various geometric shapes on Microsoft Excel. This tedious process trains the eye to examine detail closely while patiently reconstructing an image by free hand or should we say by the click of the mouse.

Animal Assisted Happiness (AAH) Featured NBC News-Bay Area Proud

For several years now, we've had the privilege of Animal Assisted Happiness (AAH) visit HTS. AAH is a non profit organization that facilitates interactions between their farm animals and children and adults in order to promote inclusion and smiles. They were recently featured in the NBC news- Bay Area Proud. AAH visits our school one to two times a month, bringing joy to our Pre-K program and primary grades. Our class is responsible for rallying up the students for their visit, supervise goat walks, lookout for run-away chickens and watch that the students care for bunnies gently and correctly.
