Summer Update

As you know during these uncertain COVID-19 times, things are rapidly changing and we will continue to communicate the most current updates and information in regards to our programming and facilities. View the most recent communication (5.1.2020) from the City of Chaska Parks and Recreation Director, Marshall Grange.

NEW! LODGE FACEBOOK GROUP

We are already 150 members STRONG! In a very short amount of time we have been able to "gather" many of our Lodge-AOA friends for exercise, support, friendship, and fun!

But we are seeking MORE!!

In order to create a more immediate and interactive connection within our Lodge-AOA group a NEW Facebook group has been started. Content includes daily inspirational messages, live AOA fitness classes from our CCC instructors, wellness tips, and more!

Join now! THE CHASKA LODGE

Please note: A personal Facebook account is required. You will be prompted with 3 questions and you will be made aware of the City of Chaska’s Social Media Policy.

We are asking for your help in spreading the word about this new group for our Lodge-AOA Friends. Please share this information.

If you have questions about our new Facebook group and how to use, contact Joan Seedorf at 952.227.7760 or jseedorf@chaskamn.com

We Can Help!

Even though The Lodge is closed until further notice. Staff is working (mostly from home!) and has access to phones, files, computers, and most of all RESOURCES!

WE’RE HERE TO HELP! Would you like someone to call you every few days to check on you or just to chat? Let us know! Do you need to be connected to grocery shopping, counseling, or other resources? We can help! This is unfamiliar territory for all of us, please know you are not alone, and we will get through this TOGETHER! Don't hesitate to contact me 952.227.7760 or jseedorf@chaskamn.com.

I am fortunate to work on the Chaska Cares team that can also help with additional needs. Email Chaska Cares your requests for help, questions, and suggestions and we’ll do our best to help any way we can. In recent weeks, Chaska Cares has worked to provide coloring books to local senior housing facilities, delivered Michael's Foods donations, and assisted with the home-made mask donation drive and distribution! The entire City of Chaska organization takes great pride in serving you each and every day. That’s because we care!

Homemade Masks Available

As part of the governor's call out for the donation of homemade masks on April 25, the Chaska Fire Department collected 1900! This week we are looking to distribute them to people in our community who need them, especially those in the high-risk population. If you are in need of a mask, please call Joan at 952.227.7760 or email jseedorf@chaskamn.com and we will make arrangements.

Driver's Safety Classes

At this time, AARP has cancelled all on-site classes through July 1st. Although not ideal for us learners that do better in a classroom setting, AARP does offer an on-line class for those who want to participate to continue to receive their insurance discount. Fees will be charged to both AARP members and non-members. View AARP's online courses.
