Electricity
Conductors,Semiconducors,and Insulators.
Conductors
Conductors: are materials that freely allow the flow of electrons with very little resistance.
Examples: Water, Copper,and Iron.
Real world Examples: They put a little bit of copper on a wire to conduct more current flow.
Conductors let electrons flow freely while semiconductors stop some of the electrons flow.
Semiconductors
Semiconductors: are materials that do not let electrons flow freely but do not directly stop them either.
Examples: Silicon is used in Computer Chips.
Real world Examples: Silicon is used in Computer Chips to keep the computer from overheating.
Unlike Insulators, Semiconductors only stop some of electron flow.
Silicon
Insulators
Insulator: are materials that stop the flow of electrons with very high resistance.
Examples: Glass, Dry Air,and Rubber.
Unlike Conductors Insulators completely stop electron flow .
