COUNSELORS CORNER
Did you know? Combs High School has several programs for students who love to make music. Mr. Mixdorf teaches Jazz Band, Marching Band, and Band classes in levels 1-4. If band isn't your thing, then Orchestra is another great option, with levels 1-4 taught by Mr. Pennington. There are several benefits to participating in one of these classes. Students get the experience of performing in concerts, competing in festivals, the chance to increase their musical ability, and playing an instrument is scientifically proven to increase math and science scores. And, the friendships that come from working together are an added bonus! See your counselor or one of the music teachers for more information.
Upcoming events:
- January 27-31: Registration for the 20/21 school year
- February 13 and 14: EVIT on campus to meet with potential students

Sweetheart Cinderella Pageant.-Scholarship opportunities!
January 18 from 12-1 pm in the CPAC Lobby a Free Workshop for anybody interested in the Sweetheart Cinderella Pageant to be held in the Combs Performing Arts Center on February 16. Registration is open until February 10. Arizona Cinderella is one of the longest and largest youth development pageants in the country. We are proud to award over $7,000 in college scholarships each year, and we enjoy helping young women learn skills that empower them to achieve their dreams. Cinderella is all about inner beauty, that is expressed by each participant as she steps across the stage. Our goal is to foster self-confidence and public speaking skills in young women and encourage our judges to look for girls who are equally poised, personable, and talented. All local participants qualify to attend the Arizona state finals in April, and all who participate in the state finals qualify to attend the International Finals in July.

Cinderella Miniature Miss: 7-9 years old
