GRIFFIN CREEK BEAVERTALES
December 6, 2020
Dear Griffin Creek Families,
Here we are in December! What a wonderful time of year.
We are so grateful to our parents for engaging in conferences with our teachers. You are your child's first teacher, and we know that this partnership is critical. I am looking forward to some additional fun events this month that focus on this partnership and the school's connection with the community.
First, on Tuesday, December 17th at 7:00 P.M., I am reading a bedtime story to all of our students who can participate via Facebook Live. If you don't already follow Griffin Creek's Facebook page, please consider liking our page. I provided the link below, just click! We share lots of helpful information. If you are not on Facebook, don't worry! Your student can still watch! Just go to or website and you can see the Facebook posts and events through our website. I love the idea of all of our students listening to the same book at bed time. I am so looking forward to being able to read it to them!
Next, we have made some adjustments to our Holiday Sing Along to allow for more of our community to join us. In order to make room for our families, we have put the sing into two parts, one for 4-6 and one for k-3. We hope you can come and sing along with us! No musical talent necessary to participate :).
In effort to keep our community safe, I would remind all drivers how important it is to drive slowly through the parking lot. It is also important to give driving your full attention in the school zone, especially in the parking lots.To that end, please do not use your cell phones while driving.
Thank you for making this community home. I hope you enjoy a restful break full of family and connection.
Kind Regards,
Erika Bare

Box Top Contest!
We are going to have one last Box Top Contest to collect the cutout Box Tops! Box Tops have gone electronic, but there are many paper versions still out there that have not expired. The team that brings in the most paper Box Tops between November 4 - Wednesday, January 8, will join Mrs. Bare for a New Year’s Pizza Party complete with party favors and fun games to be played.
We hope you will continue to support our school with box tops using the new app as well. It is a huge support for our school! Look forward to a school-wide goal on this in the new year. It is supper easy! Download the Box Tops for Education app on your phone and simply scan your receipt on your phone before throwing it away. The money we gain using this program is a huge support to our kids.
For purposes of keeping team counts (the electronic version does not give you the ability to choose a teacher) the electronic tops will not be counted for this contest, but please submit them anyway!
The party will be on Wednesday, January 22, from
11:30-12:30 p.m. in the gym. So start collecting now!
