Returning After Spring Break
For our parents of 3rd through 5th graders, we will be using our Wednesdays for taking the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR). We will use six of the remaining eight Wednesdays, after Spring break, to complete the three ELA sections and three Math sections. I will be sending specific information to only those families of students taking these assessments early next week. It is up to each family to determine if your child(ren) will participate in these assessments on Wednesdays and transportation is not provided by the school district. Both in-person and remote only students will be invited to participate in these assessments at Park View School.
If your child(ren) is/are returning to Park View after Spring break for the first time this year, you will receive a special communication from me next week reviewing all the procedures you will need to know such as arrival, dismissal, etc. Parents of new in-person students must fill out a self-certification form for each child coming back to Park View before entering the building. Those forms are due by next Monday, March 22nd. New returning families have received several emails explaining how to self-certify. Once we receive your completed form, your child(ren) will receive a backpack tag that signifies they are self-certified.
Attendance After Spring Break
Be sure when your child is going to be absent to call the attendance line at (630) 827-4041. This ie extremely important for student safety. We need to know our panthers are at home under adult supervision.
